♥ Relationships: Smoothies

Here's what I think: I think that relationships are, in every way, like smoothies. Now, before you mock this seeming ridiculousness, finish reading, because it's definitely true. Okay, so you start out with a smoothie, right? We're gonna skip the whole bit leading up to your possession of said smoothie, since it's really not important. Okay, so you've got this smoothie, and you finally settle in and you take a sip, and you're like, "Wow! This is great! I'm so glad I did this!" So of course, since it's so delicious, you keep sipping, and pretty soon you've got a brain freeze. And you're like, "Ahhhh! Anything to get rid of this horrible headache! When did smoothie sipping become such a chore?!" But this isn't just any smoothie, it's like from Jamba Juice or something, so you paid like six bucks for it, and, like the six-dollar vat of popcorn at the movies the other day, you're getting your money's worth. So you sit there sucking on your straw and making these ridiculous faces trying to drink every last bit of smoothie, even the gross chunk of banana that always makes you cough at the very bottom, because you're not going to waste it. And then it gets kind of warm, and it doesn't really taste like a smoothie anymore. But as much as you long to just throw it away, you can't make yourself get rid of the smoothie you were so looking forward to on the drive over. So then, finally, it's gone, and you go to throw it away, and you happen to glance up at the menu, and you go "Hey! That looks pretty good, I think I'll try it!" And of course you go back and forth before heading back up to the counter so soon after finishing the last smoothie because God forbid you look like a pig. But you decide on definitely yes because you just can't resist the sound of that new flavor, and pretty soon you've got yourself a new smoothie.
