♥ chatty cathy meets the class of '08

Dear Chatty Cathy,

I know you're used to dealing with problems like the infamous emo stalker and assorted letters from long-ago seniors (as well as the occasional letter made up by a staff member in a space-filling frenzy), but I'm writing with a moral dilemma. You see, I'm going to be editor-in-chief next year, and I'm tired of the Spectator being second-best all the time. The Orange & Black's got nothing on us except for one minute detail: you. They're right, you know; a scholastic newspaper is no place for an advice column, and no one ever writes to you anyway. All the problems are fake. But you're a tradition, Cathy, you've been around since the '20s! Do I really have the right to run you off? No, not really. Besides, wouldn't that be selling out, getting rid of an icon who's been around for 80+ years? I don't know what to do, Cathy.

--Sellout?

Dear Sellout (Maybe),

Buck up and quit worrying. Maybe we can find a way.

I won't really be the same once the seniors are gone, anyway. I guess nothing will.

Love,
Chatty McC
